i'm using windows live, version 8, and was just wondering how i turn the clicks on?

JAWS has a verbosity setting for the clicking noises. It use to be a key stroke but now they moved it to the verbosity settings of MSN.

Msn doesn't work for me! You know when you have to choose an account and a password! The woman saying the letters and numbers sounds like she's eating! How do I fix this?

She's got a point. It's supposed to be a bit gargled. What you could do is keep a tape or digital voice recorder with you, record the spoken text and then listen back. I have done this succesfully. AT least these thinkgs are available in speech now.

Okay hello my people.
For this voice problem Selena Fan I suggest you simply pay the $20 per year for a paid account. This allows you three advantages. One you don't have to worry about that lady eating on the mjob. The Rep will set you email and account up for you. You can ask questions and the reps will walk you through any problems you have 24/7. 2. You'll get more storage and also your account won't have the adds that come on the pages of hotmail, simply easier to use it.
3. Now and then Microsoft does a security check, wich means you must redo your account proving your human, and that means the lady with the stuff mouth again, so with a paid account you don't ever have to do this.
Now because I know your version of Jaws is 4.0 due to us talking about this on publics you'll not be able to use the latest version of MSN messenger and if your using a lesser version then your contact features won't work, so I suggest you use Windows messenger instead. It won't have all the features, but will allow you to converse with all versions of MSN messenger easy and will work with your current version of Jaws.
Now to get Messenger to click if that is your wish eternity you can email Freedom Scientific at support@freedomscientific.com and ask your question, or you can use your Jaws help minue to find your answer by typing it in the search box that is provided. I don't run8 yet, so can't give you an exact answer, but this will solve it for you.
Forgot to say for Selena Fan you can get MSN's phone number from information if need. I don't have it handy. If you both wish I can do the research for you and answer back here, or send me a PQN message and I'll help as well.

*smile*

hope, i've never had any problem with the audio numbers.

in fact, there well helpfull!

I usually write the numbers down then write them in the box so I really have no problem with the lady eating. I think they do that because the numbers are sort of hidden to sighted people so the do the do the same with audio.

Hi dan. Well i think i got your point. There is a software called messpatch-g5-80812.exe- works on the same version of Windows Live Messenger you have, can do what you want. So try this.

I clicked that link. Only thing I don't like about the page is it really doesn't give much information on the lady *smile*, now if you folks can get her done with her eating great. Next I like to get downloads from the direct vendors site, or autherized site. I don't trust side vendors of programs that can be gotten directly, but that's another choice. This site wanted to run an active X control, so you must decide if you trust it. If I want anything MSN related I go to www.microsoft.com or www.msn.com Okay I've had my say.

Thank you Miah and for reel! I've listened harder lol I've even wrote the numbers and letters in braille! The next step will be a tape recorder! Provided Emma my guinea pig will be quiet and not scream! For reel how much does it cost in case the tape recorder thing doesn't work out! I used to know but I'm not sure about the price!

CAUTION! Use this software at your own Risk, if you don't know what you're doing, don't ! You should read about it first. These are to be done as Administrator, not just User.
This software has more than 80 check boxes so be careful.

Thank you for the poster before me. I'd use it, but then I'm a geek. I'd not suggest it though.
It's $20 Selena Fan and I really think it's the way to go. Less hassle. Let me know if I can help you more with this.
